The Personal approach to Financial Planning

At LawlerDavis we are always focused on the fact that it is the client's money and their aims and objectives that need to be at the forefront of any investment decisions.

Sarah Lawler

Director

Sarah has over 20 years' experience in financial services. Sarah is a Chartered Financial Planner specialising in tax mitigation, IHT planning, personal and business protection, pensions and investments, Sarah offers a personal aspect to financial planning, taking time to get to know her clients and understand their needs and objectives. Many clients have become personal friends through Sarah's business dealings.

Outside of work, Sarah has two young boys; so much of her time is taken up with football, rugby, quad biking and generally getting muddy. She is also on the committee of Westerleigh Judokwai which is an all-inclusive judo club for able and less able adults and children based in Battle. If there is any spare time left, Sarah loves to travel and her ambition is to walk the Inca Trail to Macchu Pitchu. Sarah recently completed a charity Trek along the Great Wall of China raising money for Chestnut Tree House Children's Hospice.

Sue Collingwood

Operations and Compliance Manager

Sue was an IT manager for a well-known national construction company and then ran her own restaurant. When she decided to sell the business to have more time for her family, she joined LawlerDavis as an Admin Assistant. Sue has proved to be an invaluable member of the team and has since taken on the role of Operations and Compliance Manager.

Outside of work Sue is married with children and grandchildren, she loves travelling, spending time with her family and friends and is also a beekeeper.

Les Marriott

Financial Planner

Les has over 30 years' experience in financial services. Starting off working at large national insurance companies in Brighton and Central London, Les moved over to the Independent Financial Adviser sector some years ago where he initially looked after a portfolio of corporate pension schemes. He has now specialised for some years in inheritance tax mitigation and investment planning.

Les deals with pensions and pension transfers, investments, inheritance tax planning, and personal and business protection. He has a number of clients that have been with him for many years, giving testament to the ethos of LawlerDavis of Personal Professional Planning. He is able to help clients understand the issues in a jargon-free friendly way and is an integral part of the team.

Outside of work, Les is married with a son and daughter, and is a keen swimmer and runner. When not busy Les enjoys spending time with family and friends and has recently started playing the piano.

Anna Barr

Senior Paraplanner

Anna is a Chartered Practitioner and holds all the qualifications required to be an Independent Financial Planner but chooses to work more behind the scenes, carrying out research and technical analysis. Anna has worked in financial services since 1998 and provides invaluable support to clients and directors alike.

Outside of work Anna is married with one Son and the proud owner of a sports car and a Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Oliver Brett

Paraplanner

Oliver Joined us in 2016 as an apprentice after studying A levels in Mathematics, Business and Economics at College. Having successfully completed his Level 3 Certificate in Providing Financial Services he is now working his way through his Chartered Insurance Institute Exams with a view to becoming a fully qualified Paraplanner.

Outside of work he is a regular attendee at his local quiz night, enjoys running and spending time with his friends and family including his four nephews.

Tania Ringshall

Administrator

Tania started worked in the banking industry in 1985 straight from leaving school. She has worked for various high street banks and building societies during this time and she has her CeFA and CeMAP qualification. She has completed various job roles during this time and has been a Financial Adviser, Mortgage Consultant and a Branch Manager across the South East and in London. Following redundancy from one of the large Building Societies, she joined the team at LawlerDavis bringing a huge amount of knowledge and experience with her.

Outside of work she likes rummaging in junk shops and boot fairs searching for collectables and loves her foreign holidays. She has also completed a massage course at Twickenham University and the whole team looks forward to reaping the benefits of this.

Colin Davis

Co-founder (Retired)

As a founding partner of LawlerDavis Colin worked for over 35 years in finance and accounts with around half of this spent in the financial services industry. Initially working for a large national insurance company, Colin practiced as an independent financial adviser for over 15 years, where he specialised in investments, trusts, IHT planning, tax mitigation, group pensions, pensions in divorce and retirement planning.

Now fully retired, Colin spends his time with his family, on the golf course or following Brighton and Hove Albion where he is a season ticket holder. He is also motor racing enthusiast and is an active member of Senlac Rotary Club and is involved with a number of local charities.
